Horsell Technical Communications (HTC) is a dedicated business unit of Horsell, focused exclusively on technical publications and multi-format content. We are 100% Australian-owned, veteran-led, and trusted across Defence, government, and industry. Our mission is to make complex information simple, ensuring every deliverable is clear, compliant, and ready for users in demanding environments.
Our Heritage
Founded in 2007, Horsell has grown from embedded teams inside Defence into a nationally recognised partner for technical documentation. What began with a handful of specialists has developed into a broad capability spanning authoring, illustrations, editorial, digitisation, and advisory services. This history grounds HTC in Defence-grade standards while keeping us agile for diverse industry needs.
Our Approach
We believe clarity and compliance must go hand in hand. HTC doesn’t just write manuals or produce illustrations — we solve problems by bridging the gap between complex technical systems and the people who operate and maintain them. Whether converting legacy material into S1000D or DEF(AUST) 5629/5630 formats, producing 3D technical illustrations, or creating safety documentation, our approach ensures accuracy, usability, and compliance.
